Hello we are from Hooper Bay, Alaska. We were playing a game in math class.The game is called Fair or Unfair. How the game goes is we have two coins and we are throwing them up high onto the table. We started playing this game on Monday. The game is so fun to play.

Here are the rules: Each group gets 3 index cards to keep score on. Randomly assign players A, B and C. The groups each get two coins to toss and are assigned points according to the following rules. Player A gets 1 point if the coin toss results in two heads, player B gets 1 point if the toss results in two tails, and player C gets 1 point if the coin toss results are mixed (one head and one tail) The game is over 20 tosses. The player who has the most points wins. The students play the game 3 times. After each game they discuss whether they think the game is Fair or Unfair and make predictions about who will win the next game. As a class, have a discussion about the fairness of the game. Challenge the students to make an argument not based on the data as whether the game is Fair or Unfair and why. The game is just like rolling a dice but with coins and tally marks.




I learned that is a difference between theoretical and experimental probability is that you actually do the work first. Theoretical is that you predict whats gonna happen. I leaned how to create a blog using an blogger.com. Using technology to communicate results help me because now I can start using blog to share my work what i learn. Fair or Unfair The two coin toss game is unfair because HT has an 50% chance of landing on them, and 25% chance each of landing on hh and tt.
